Testimonials

We could not have asked for a better facilitator than Jacob.  He navigated a very contentious group who came in upset and entrenched against each other.  There were tense moments, but Jacob provided the calm and steady leadership that the group needed to work through their differences and created a safe space for everyone to be heard.  On top of that, Jacob helped the group navigate a complete change in plans due to the COVID-19 pandemic hitting right in the middle of our task force meetings.  He kept the group organized and on task with a very tight timeline and got the group to 100% consensus on time!

Jolon Clark, Denver City Councilmember, District 7

Jacob, Thank you!! As you know, last night’s forum was well received. You set a wonderful tone with your relaxed and grounded style. Your ability to acknowledge people in heart felt and meaningful ways contributed to the impact. Your knowledge of the territory supported connecting the dots and providing context. I kept thinking how your calm demeanor is so well suited for contentious situations. Thank you for saying yes and for creating a wonderful environment. On behalf of the League, thank you.

Jacob was a tremendous partner for our work, and I appreciate all that he accomplished with and for us. And I know others on our team felt the same way.

Daniel Read, Senior Research Analyst, Denver Public Schools

It is a rare person indeed who can serve so many different consulting roles simultaneously as can Jacob Bornstein. Jacob is quick, perceptive, calm, articulate, insightful and sensitive to his clients many competing needs. I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with Jacob for several years as one of the many outspoken stakeholders and then as a colleague on complex planning tasks related to the ‘gnarly' policy world of state Medicaid. In this capacity, Jacob was at once a critical thinker and brilliant strategic planner on the creative side, while also managing numerous technical, communicating, facilitation, and process management tasks on the more technical side of our work together. Jacob is a guy you can trust to get a job done and done right.

Gary Montrose, Principal, Healthcare Strategies

Dear Jacob, You had a herculean task and you did it with such warmth and grace. I applaud you and thank you for bringing your best self to the table. I hope we get a chance to work together in the future. I will certainly keep my eyes peeled for an opportunity.
